What is Coaching?

Coaching is a respectful and confidential partnership between a coach and client that assists in empowering the client to identify and move towards what matters most to them and to let go of what is holding them back. It is a strategic, personalised process that specifically supports positive, meaningful, and sustainable outcomes during pivotal moments to implement life changes for the client.

How do I know it would be useful for me?

Coaching is helpful to anyone who is looking to make changes but either feels stuck or is struggling to clarify what that change might look like or who is unsure about how to make it happen.

It is also for people who are wanting support to navigate change that has been thrust upon them, to find new direction, engagement, and purpose.

How does coaching work?

Initially I begin with a complimentary 30-minute phone conversation to see if we will suit each other. If you wish to proceed, the coaching sessions are offered in an individual face to face situation or via phone/video calls that are usually 1 hour in duration. I am also happy to be in touch by email between sessions as required.

There will be some agreed action(s) after a session and if appropriate I will email you any material or tools that might be helpful and relevant to support developing your new skills.

How much time does it involve?

There are no hard and fast rules about the length of appointment times, or frequency of sessions and everyone’s situation is unique. Generally, it takes around six sessions to create lasting meaningful change. This can be extended by mutual agreement.
